3 months warranty -- mechanical breakdown is covered
If you have purchased an external warranty on the vehicle, then you would have to lodge an insurance claim for any new mechanical and or electrical issue appeared after the purchase of the vehicle. In this case, dealer may cover the excess in most cases (within 3 months or less than 5000 km travel whichever is earlier). Human errors/mistakes and normal wear and tear (like a flat battery) are not covered.
Optimum mechanical warranty applies from the date the vehicle was purchased. Excess may apply for each separate issue. For this you may need to get a diagnosis report from an MTA approved workshop or franchised dealers. Please do not fix the problem yourself without taking consent/approval from the dealer and the insurance company (for MBI cover)
